“RUN JETTA RUN” – An article by Lee Burton

Cheerleader Melissa. Eden Black. Skye. What do these 3 ChickFight wrestlers have in common? They have all fell victim to the wrath of “Coventry’s Loudest” mouth – Jetta! And not always in the ring! But with so many people after her is Jetta really in as much danger as one might suspect? Or is a premeditated plan all coming to fruition? Lee Burton Investigates……………..
There are some who wonder if Jetta can keep her nose out of other people’s business. With ChickFight scheduled to start it’s 2008 UK run on Sunday May 4th at The Caribbean Centre in Ipswich, the Coventry The reason is because at the most recent ChickFight show on British soil – ChickFight 9.5 at Skegness – Jetta made herself known to a number of different wrestlers. In the past at ChickFights 8 and 9, she had got under the skin of fans watching, but for some reason – the sea air, the bright sunshine or something else – she decided that this was going to be the show where she was the centre of attention… and screw anyone who tried to stop her. loudmouth may have to watch her back from the second she arrives at the building.
First off, she hardly made friends with the packed crowd in the Suncastle, but then decided to verbally berate her former tag-team partner Skye before their 2 out of 3 falls match. They had wrestled a relatively good-natured contest at CF8, with Jetta getting the win to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament – but that all turned frosty at CF9.5. Perhaps it was because while Jetta had been receiving a torrent of boos from the audience despite telling them to cheer for her, Skye commanded the cheers; perhaps it was because she had lost in the first round at CF9 to Blue Nikita and felt that she should have gone further – who knows – but Jetta wasn’t at CF9.5 to make friends. Instead, she was going to make sure everybody knew who she was before the night was out. This was followed up when she beat Skye by two straight falls, and that should have been her night over. But instead, the biggest mouth in Coventry decided to get involved in Eden Black’s match with the Croatian Panther Wesna, costing her the contest, and then gloating over the fact that she’d got one over on her long-time nemesis. Nonetheless, a match between the two was signed for that night – Jez would face Jetta one-on-one, so they could settle their differences before it threatened to swallow up ChickFight in one big gulp.
It didn’t happen.
What did happen was the two women brawled around the arena – Jez didn’t even wait for Jetta to get to the ring before coming out to get the match started – with Jetta getting the win by pinning Black with her feet on the ropes. In essence, the war between the pair wasn’t ended – on the contrary, it was like pouring petrol over an already-massive inferno.
But Jetta wasn’t done.
Earlier that night, Cheerleader Melissa had been told to keep herself in check and conduct herself in the way a wrestler should, or face a suspension from ChickFight. While the cyborg with pom-poms managed to restrain herself during her matches with Bubbles and Blue Nikita, she couldn’t escape Jetta’s desire to screw over anybody she could.
Back at the hotel where a number of the ChickFight wrestlers and crew were staying, Jetta squealed to CF Management about Melissa acting up, meaning the most violent cheerleader in the known universe was slapped with a suspension for her actions. Needless to say, Melissa wasn’t pleased with the decision, or who had told on her.
However, that suspension has been served. Melissa is expected to feature on the next ChickFight show, and so is Jetta. It should be noted that Britain’s ChickFight fans have seen a focussed Melissa, and that’s dangerous enough for her opponent, CF crew, or even the audience. Imagine when her anger levels have been turned up to 11 – ChickFight may need to bring in the army to calm her down.
If it was only Melissa that Jetta needed to hide from, she might have been able to get away with it. But when you factor in Eden Black – who still wants to rip Jetta’s head from her shoulders – and Skye – who’s looking to redeem herself from the 2 straight falls defeat as well as end her dubious CF losing streak – it could be a long night for Coventry’s Loudest.
She won’t let on that she’s worried about the next ChickFight show in the UK – but deep inside, Jetta must be concerned that she may have to take what’s coming to her. At ChickFight 9.5, she really made a name for herself – unfortunately she may have to realise that there’s a difference between famous and being infamous.
And we in Britain get to enjoy seeing her run for her life.
