Jetta vs Skye – 2/3 Falls Match on ChickFight 9.5 DVD!

ChickFight returned to the UK for it’s first non-tournament event and presented 2 sold out shows in one night!
The second show would be determined by the winners and losers of the first show which is highlighted by cracking Championship fight as British Women’s Wrestling Champion WESNA defends her title against former champion Eden Black who is featured on the cover of the brand new DVD! The winner will then go on to defend the title on the second show in a four way elimination match!
Also featured on ChickFight 9.5 is a rematch from ChickFight 8 between “Coventry’s Loudest” Jetta and her former Legion Of Womb tag team partner Skye in a 2 out of 3 falls contest.
Lets take a further in depth look at what lead up to this match….
Wrestling fans are used to seeing trechary and betrayal on their television screens whenever they watch a pro-wrestling show. Wrestling fans have witnessed some of the greatest tag teams in history turn on one another and spend the rest of their careers feuding. However this never happened with the Legion of Womb.
There was no violence in the split. The two simply decided to go their seperate ways as both wanted to establish singles careers and eventually become a singles World Champion. They knew that at some point the two would end up on opposing sides of the ring but were okay with this – wrestling is a sport and sometimes you have to compete against your friends.
After the two went their seperate ways Jetta decided that she wanted to become a champion as quick as possible and would do anything to get there – including breaking every pro wrestling rule in the book in order to obtain a victory. Jetta’s former tag team partner Skye on the other hand did not agree with such underhanded tactics still beliving to keep true to wrestling’s long sporting history and so each wrestler went about winning matches in their own ways. However it would be Jetta who achieved the most success.
Jetta’s “win by any means necerssary” attitude to wrestling matches quickly gave her a strong win-loss record across Europe gaining the then 19 year old more noteriaty and getting her closer and closer to championship fights. Skye on the other hand was struggling with a singles wrestling career and Jetta offered to help her with that….
Jetta had been trying to get her former tag team partner into the same mindset as herself for a long time when it came to winning matches. “It’s only cheating if you get caught” were the words Jetta was overheard saying time after time. Despite her poor win record however Skye was determined to win matches the fair way and the two were overheard having a very loud arguement backstage at an independent show in Germany which saw both storm off.
“She’s too full of her own $#!+ to see what matters most” Jetta told a friend afterwards. “You try to help someone and they throw it in your face.” Meanwhile Skye was explaining to the over-hearing crew members “When I die, I want to be able to look back on a career and be proud of myself. To say I was the very best of something. And I want that something to be wrestling. I don’t wanna be 90 years old, laying on my deathbed wondering ‘could I REALLY beat her?’ I don’t want to die with any regrets from life”.
After hearing about the backstage arguement ChickFight Management came to the conclusion that as Jetta and Skye have competed against one another all across Europe many times and had traded victories (although Jetta had won the majority of these, including a win over Skye in the quarter-finals of ChickFight 8 ) that a 2/3 falls contest should end the “Sporting rivalry” between the two. This time however both wrestlers seemed to look forward to the match more so than any other of their previous contests against one another.
“There’s a thing called ‘Tough Love’….And I’m more than happy to show some of that to Skye. To help wisen her up. To open her eyes. I don’t hate her, I pitty her. She spends all her time trying to “Do the right thing” and make the fans happy…You can’t be like that. The fans demand too much off you these days. They want to see you kill yourself for their own perverted entertainment and enjoyment. Wrestling is a sport and like most sports professional wrestling attracts spectators. Now those spectators are there to WATCH YOU wrestle. They shouldn’t be there trying to dictate to you what you should do and if they are trying to do that you damn well shouldn’t be listening to them. After all if they know so much why arn’t they doing it? Oh it’s because they’re no-talented losers who’s ego’s can not accept the truth. Those who can – do, those who can’t tell others how it’s done. I know I’m right. Deep down EVERYONE knows I’m right. And at ChickFight 9.5 I’m going to show her I’m right when I beat her in the two out of three falls match – two falls to none.”
When www.ChickFight.tv caught up with Skye and informed of her of Jetta’s comments Skye simply replied “Damn that girl takes a long time to get to the point…And as far as her criticising others for their ego’s, thats like the pot calling the kettle black. See Jetta’s ego is so big she can’t accept the fact that when it comes to wrestling – she actually isn’t very good and so her ego rationalises the need to win at any costs and blames it on the fans! How’s her ego going to accept losing to me fair and square two falls to none at ChickFight 9.5? I’d sure hate to be her therapist!”
